Millionaire Profile: Warren Buffet -Achieve so you can bless others

If you’ve attended success coaching seminars, you would have heard of a lot of pointers on how people can become successful – passion about the work, simple living, helping people around you become successful, and being extremely knowledgeable about your industry. Then if you read Warren Buffett’s story, you will immediately think that the trainer probably picked up points from Buffett’s story and wove it into a training program!!

Warren Buffett is the essential billionaire, but he did not begin life that way. Buffett, who is the most successful investor in the world, started off in high school selling chewing gum and Coca-Cola door to door! He then ran newspaper routes and sold golf balls and stamps. Right from his childhood, he was interested in the stock market and one of the defining moments of his life was when he read The Intelligent Investor by Benjamin Graham. His interest in the stock market grew with his experience, and laid the foundation for the world’s most amazing investing company – Berkshire Hathaway. Even today, Buffett says he follows the same principles outlined by Graham.

With a net worth of over $ 47 billion, Buffett today is among the world’s richest people, but what sets him apart from the others on the billionaire list is the fact that he made millions for thousands of other people who invested in his company. But even today, Buffett relishes the simple life – he still lives in the same Omaha home he bought in the 1950s and his salary each year is still $ 100,000.

What a lot of people don’t know is that Buffett, through his company, owns substantial stock in some of the world’s best brands – from Coca Cola to GE to American Express to Procter & Gamble and The Washington Post. Apart from that, his company owns and operates a whole range of companies like Dairy Queen, Fruit of the Loom, Geico, Jordan’s Furniture, and dozens more.

But the real reason why Buffett’s life is a lesson all through is because of the way he chose to mould it. He started small, made it right to the top, and then decided to pledge away 85% of his life’s earnings to the Bill and Melinda Gates foundation. Warren Buffet is truly a model of giving abundantly and receiving abundantly in return.

Life is Short.  DREAM BIG!
