Why I Started This Blog

First of all I want to thank you for visiting my blog!

I started the blog out of a desire to  share life insights, thoughts, experiences, stories and just about any and everything under the sun.

I know in 2021 it almost seems weird to have a blog because that seems like that is kind of what Facebook, Instagram, Snapchat, Youtube and the others are all about.  However, I was motivated to go this route for a few reasons.

A few months ago, I was booted off of Facebook after having an account with them for over 12 years.  I’m not 100% sure why my account was closed but I have an inkling.  If you know me at all, I have always made it a point to share positive and uplifting content on my social media.  My thought process has always been that our life experience reflects what we focus the most on, so my intention has always been to focus on the positive and uplifting.

Sometimes however you have to call BS when you see it and that is what I did right before my account got shut down.

Without going into dramatic detail about the post that I commented on – I had an opinion, some people had some opposite opinion and they flagged my post and then literally shut down my account.

No recourse, no way to reactivate and no way to contact anyone! I literally had pictures, content, stories, etc that I had shared on there that I had nowhere else.  So as you may imagine I was sorta pissed!

Not just pissed because of the content that I lost but pissed that these social media companies have control to the point that they can unilaterally decide that they don’t like what you posted and shut your account down.

That has been enough for me to stop really posting on any of the platforms.

However, I still have a desire to share my thoughts, my feelings, my experiences, and valuable content from others – sooooo I decided to go old school and fire up a blog!

Anyway, I’m not 100% on what this will look like but I do know I will be sharing much information about my experiences, my journey and the things I am passionate about.

Thanks for joining me on the journey!
